#3 Wanderlust; Movie

After a week of hiatus due to a short trip away, I'm back. I've had some inspiration and here I am.
This week's theme: Wanderlust

Wanderlust (n): a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore

This week, I am determined to watch/read/eat/sleep anything wanderlust-ing(adjective?).

Last night, I watched Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. Granted, it was not a movie about traveling. Or wandering. But it was based on just one night, where Nick & Norah traveled all over New York(in search of a friend and a band) and so much things happened throughout.
Furthermore, I love Kat Dennings. She is super hot.

Till next time.

#1 Self Discovery; Movies

If there's one feel-good movie that I truly, easily love, it'd have to be The Way Way Back. It's about a 14yrold boy who follows his mum and her bf for a summer vacation. There, he doesnt seem to fit in and is always left out for stuff, except at a water theme-park where he ended up working (without anyone's knowledge).

There are some sad scenes, but the ending was simple, yet so impactful. I think it was my favourite part of the movie haha. Throughout, he's discovering about himself and slowly gains confidence. It's such a simple, heart-warming, easy movie. I really think everyone should watch it, at least once.

Movie: The Way Way Back
About: About a boy who follows his mother and her bf for a summer vacation, where does not fit in at all. Eventually, he meets Owen at a water theme park, from whom he learnt a thing or two and starts to gain confidence. He starts to work at the themepark and there, he's always having a good time.

#1 Self-Discovery; Books

How's everyone doing?

Since I was a little girl, I've always loved reading. My mum don't frequently bring me to the library, but I was fascinated with the world books had to offer. Like almost everyone I know, books are a form of escape from our mundane but sometimes harsh reality. I'd have to say one of the books that impacted me the most as a little kid was Malory Towers series by Enid Blyton. It follows Darrell, a girl entering an all-girls boarding school(love this context!) in the countryside of England and her adventures with her friends. It really did feed my imagination and lust for the countryside and dreams of studying in a boarding school. I still have the books, all tattered but loved.

From what I know, there are new series based on the book, now written by Pamela Cox. Now, it follows Darrell's sister, who enters the same boarding school and having her own adventures. I have not read it yet, but I'm definitely getting my hands on them soon.

Ever since reading Malory Towers, I just wanted to read more and more and more. They really hold a special in my heart and I cannot describe it enough. These books were the seeds that planted my love for reading. If you want to encourage little girls(or even boys!) into reading, you may want to try this series because I promise you, even adults will love it.

#1 Self-Discovery; Music

Hi everyone!

For the first ever post here, the theme this week would be Self-Discovery.
Why that?
Because personally, I am on the journey of self-discovery. I'm currently in a gap year, awaiting admission into University. Even though my gap year is almost ending, I'm still in search of myself. I guess this will be a never-ending journey. You just learn something more about yourself each day, right? But the main point is to never stop. Never stop finding or indulging in your passion. Never stop experiencing new things. Never stop meeting new people for each person you meet will teach you a thing or two. Every pain you feel and every effort to get through obstacles is a form of self-discovery.

On Mondays, I'll write about music. For the first post, let's make it brief, shall we?
Here's a playlist in the form of youtube videos.

1. Youth - Daughter

2. Free Now - Sleeping With Sirens

3. Secret Crowds - Angels & Airwaves

4. Live, Learn & Let Go - Go Radio

5. Rescue - Yuna

See you tomorrow for our books post!
